ISIS has claimed responsibility for the explosion that occurred at a sports club in the western part of Kabul city.
Kabul 24: The group made this assertion in their Telegram channel, stating that the blast on Thursday, October 26, at a sports club in the Dasht-e Barchi area of Kabul, was caused by a bomb planted by “ISIS fighters.”
As a result of the explosion, at least six people were killed, and 11 others were injured. However, the Taliban reported that four people were killed and nine others were injured in the attack.
Despite the Taliban’s renewed control and their consistent promises to ensure national security, various provinces in the country have witnessed deadly attacks during this period.
Dasht-e Barchi, primarily inhabited by Hazaras, in the western part of Kabul, has been the target of multiple bomb attacks and suicide bombings over the past two years.
