Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Administrative Chief of the Prime Minister’s Office in the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, has stated that increasing tensions benefits no party and continued escalation will harm both sides.
Kabul 24: Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 5th National and International Industry and Mines Week Exhibition in Kabul, Hanafi emphasized that the Islamic Emirate’s foreign policy is based on peaceful relations with all countries, grounded in mutual respect and non-interference in internal affairs.
“We want to live in peace, security, and tranquility with our neighbors, regional countries, and the wider international community,” Hanafi said. “We seek good and positive relations based on mutual respect, non-interference, and win-win cooperation.”The senior official also assured the audience that Afghan soil will not be used against any other country, reaffirming the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to regional stability.
He described the current policy of Afghanistan as beneficial for both the region and the world.Other senior officials also addressed the event.
Noor ul Haq Anwar, Director General of the General Administration Office, stated that Afghans, like other nations, have the right to enjoy lasting security.
He expressed regret that some parties refuse to recognize this right and are instead attempting to destabilize Afghanistan.
Anwar stressed that Afghanistan considers the security of others as its own security.These remarks come amid significantly strained relations between the Islamic Emirate and Pakistan in recent months.
Despite the tensions with Islamabad, the Taliban administration maintains relatively positive ties with several other regional countries.
The Industry and Mines Week exhibition serves as an important platform to showcase Afghanistan’s economic potential and attract domestic and foreign investment.
Officials hope such events will help project an image of stability and encourage economic partnerships.In his speech, Abdul Salam Hanafi reiterated the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to peaceful coexistence, counter-terrorism efforts, and creating a secure environment for economic development.
He stressed the importance of mutual respect and constructive engagement with the international community.
