Iranian media have reported that a man has been sentenced to death by the court for sexually assaulting a one-year-old immigrant girl from Afghanistan.
Kabul 24: Based on reports, this person’s name is “Hossam” and the case of the girl’s mother’s complaint against him has been investigated in Branch 9 of Tehran Criminal Court.
The mother of this 12-year-old girl told the Iranian police that her daughter was raped by the man who owned the house where she worked as a cleaner.
He added that he separated from his wife two years ago and came to Iran with his children from Afghanistan and worked as a domestic servant to support his living expenses. According to this woman, she has been working in the house of a person named Hossam who had a wife and three children a few months ago.
Explaining the story, he said: “I had gone out for shopping and left my 12-year-old daughter alone at home. When I came back after half an hour, I found that my daughter was not well. After questioning, my daughter said that after I left the house, Hassam assaulted her.”
Iranian media have reported that Iranian forensic medicine experts have confirmed the assault on the girl.
The offender is over 34 years old and has confessed to his crime.
This man said in the court: “I admit that I was wrong. But that day I had taken drugs and I was not in a normal state. When I came to my senses, I realized what a mistake I had made.”
