India Announces Immediate Humanitarian Aid for Afghanistan Earthquake Victims

Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, India’s Minister of External Affairs, in a telephone conversation with Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, expressed his condolences and sympathy for the loss of lives and damages caused by the earthquake that struck three provinces of Afghanistan last night.

Kabul 24: According to the Ministry of External Affairs, Jaishankar announced the dispatch of urgent humanitarian aid to the affected communities. The assistance includes 1,000 tents and 15 tons of food supplies aimed at supporting the people in the earthquake-hit areas.

The Indian minister further assured that his country would provide additional aid, including medicines and food, to meet the immediate needs of the victims.In response, Muttaqi expressed gratitude for India’s solidarity and support for the people of Afghanistan.

He assured that the aid would be delivered promptly and transparently to those in need. Muttaqi also emphasized the importance of international cooperation in addressing such crises and thanked India for its efforts in supporting Afghanistan.
