Sirajuddin Haqqani, the Acting Interior Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, called on political leaders living abroad to return to the country during an official address in Bamyan province, following an earlier visit to Panjshir.
Kabul 24: Reaffirming the provisions of the Doha Agreement, Haqqani stressed that a general amnesty remains in full effect for all individuals, assuring returning figures that no past actions will be prosecuted or investigated.
During his address, the Interior Minister characterized historic ethnic, regional, and linguistic divisions as the deliberate outcome of hostile foreign interventions designed to destabilize the nation.
He asserted that Afghans are now actively forging a path toward unity, brotherhood, and national cohesion under a single governing framework.
Citing directives from the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate, Haqqani noted that genuine governance relies on social solidarity rather than simple obedience, emphasizing that a cohesive society is the most effective defense against insecurity.
In closing statements, the Interior Minister delivered a firm warning against any attempts to disrupt the country’s current stability, maintaining that the government will not tolerate threats to domestic peace.
Alongside these internal security commitments, Haqqani highlighted the necessity of strengthening diplomatic ties and expanding constructive engagement with the international community.
