Mawlawi Abdul Hakim Shar’i, Minister of Justice of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, stated during the graduation ceremony for specialists in ifta’ and qada’ from the Abdullah bin Mas’ud Institute, held at Kabul University, that the current Islamic system in Afghanistan is unparalleled and unique in the world.
kabul 24: He stressed that the primary goal of the Afghan people’s sacrifices and jihad over the past two decades was precisely to establish a fully Sharia-based Islamic system—and now this objective has been achieved.
Minister Shar’i added that today, everyone—especially scholars, judges, and officials—must be ready to make sacrifices, including giving up their possessions if necessary, to preserve and strengthen this system.
In another part of his speech, the Minister of Justice emphasized the importance of sanctity (taqaddus) in knowledge, Sharia, and the Islamic system itself. He said: “The sanctity of our creed is extremely important. We are all obligated to preserve the sanctity of knowledge, the sanctity of Sharia, and the sanctity of the system.
If we hold ourselves accountable and upright, the dignity of knowledge, religious schools, faith, and the system will be maintained; otherwise, everything will lose its honor and value.”Abdul Hakim Shar’i also addressed the country’s economic situation, noting that Afghanistan’s economy is improving day by day and that development projects are actively progressing across various regions.
He attributed these advancements to the effective Islamic management and the commitment of officials to Sharia principles.
He urged the graduates, scholars, and all those in positions of responsibility within the system to exercise the utmost caution in their actions, behavior, and speech. This is essential so they can serve as exemplary models for society and avoid any negligence or deviation that could harm the system’s reputation.
These remarks come as the Islamic Emirate continues to focus on fully implementing Sharia rulings since regaining power, presenting itself as a successful and unmatched model in the Islamic world.
The Minister of Justice highlighted the need for unity, sacrifice, and safeguarding the sanctity of the system as key conditions for sustaining the great achievements of the jihad.
