Job Creation and Labor Market Support
Kabul 24: Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, stated that conditions were created for over 300,000 job opportunities across multiple sectors in the past year. Key breakdowns include:
Ministry of Economy: Issued operating licenses to 86 domestic and 2 foreign NGOs active in health, education, and humanitarian aid, generating employment for over 140,000 people.
Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs: Played a crucial role in boosting the labor market by issuing over 62,000 work permits and providing technical and vocational training to more than 45,000 individuals.
Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology:** Generated work opportunities for over 184,000 people by installing 350 telecom towers and expanding 851 kilometers of fiber optic network across the country.
Identity Services and Civil Registration
In consular and identity services, the National Statistics and Information Authority alongside the Passport Directorate reported notable figures:
* Distribution of over two million electronic national IDs (e-NIDs) in the year 1447 AH.
* Issuance of 650,000 standard passports and 512 student passports.
* Extension of visas for at least 16,000 foreign nationals.
Urban Development and Services in the Capital
Kabul Municipality executed extensive measures aimed at urban improvement and business support.
Major achievements over the past year included issuing operating permits to 14,000 commercial units, planting 531,000 saplings and flowers to expand green spaces, collecting more than 620,000 tons of solid waste, and dredging city canals.
