The Ministry of Interior states that Pakistan has repeatedly attempted to undermine security in several districts of Badakhshan and other areas along the hypothetical line.
Kabul 24: The spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior added that these efforts were neutralized, and the security situation along the hypothetical line and other official borders, including the border with Tajikistan, is currently normal.
Abdul Mateen Ghane, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, said: “We are committed to curbing these efforts and projects, and we have practically nipped their projects in the bud. We will not allow them to affect Afghanistan’s internal and transboundary security. Significant budgets are allocated for border and hypothetical line management across the country.”
Recently, a senior member of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam party of Pakistan claimed in the Balochistan Provincial Assembly that thousands of soldiers from the former Afghan government have been moved to areas near the Durand hypothetical line.
Fazal Qadir Mandokhail, a senior member of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan, added: “Now, after four years, thousands of former Ashraf Ghani military personnel have entered our regions bringing their weapons with them.
We want to ask our government where these Afghan forces were during these three years and where they came from. Who brought them here? This must be explained to us. Our situation is deteriorating day by day.”
Omar Mukhtar Nikzad, a university professor, stated: “Whenever Afghanistan’s relations with neighboring countries improve, Pakistan attempts to disrupt these ties, because Pakistan does not want Afghanistan to free itself from dependency on Pakistan.”
This is not the first time Pakistan has been accused of disrupting security near the hypothetical line and the border with Tajikistan. Previously, the Central Commission for Security and Cleansing Affairs stated in a report that newly recruited personnel are transferred from Karachi and Islamabad airports to centers in Balochistan and the tribal regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to carry out attacks in regional countries and globally, particularly in Afghanistan.
