Iranian officials announced that the country has carried out a missile attack against Israel in direct response to ongoing Israeli assaults on Lebanon.
Kabul 24: The Khatam al-Anbiya Construction Headquarters issued an official statement claiming responsibility for the operation, confirming that Iranian forces targeted Israeli territory with ballistic missiles.
According to the statement, the attack was a retaliation to Israel’s continued military operations in Lebanon.Iran had previously warned both Israel and the United States that any further attacks on Beirut would trigger a decisive response.
The statement further read: “The Israeli army must immediately cease its attacks on southern Lebanon. Otherwise, it will face even stronger and more regret-inducing strikes.”Israeli media have confirmed the missile launches.
The Jerusalem Post reported that Israel is expected to deliver a “significant response” to the Iranian attack.In reaction, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that its air defense systems successfully intercepted all missiles fired from Iran.
The Israeli military added that additional waves of missile launches toward Israel have been detected, and forces remain on high alert.This escalation comes amid heightened tensions following Israel’s intensified operations in Lebanon, which have included repeated airstrikes on southern regions and Beirut suburbs.
Iranian authorities described their missile operation as a measured and deterrent response aimed at protecting the “Axis of Resistance,” particularly Hezbollah.Analysts warn that this exchange could spark a new and more dangerous round of regional conflict.
Israeli defense systems are currently at their highest state of readiness, and officials in Tel Aviv are expected to announce their next steps in the coming hours.
Lebanese sources report that Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon continue, causing civilian casualties. Iran has condemned these actions as a blatant violation of Lebanese sovereignty and a serious threat to regional stability, stressing that it reserves the right to respond further if the aggression does not stop.
As of now, Israeli authorities claim no significant casualties or damage have been reported on their side.
However, Iranian officials emphasized that the operation demonstrated only a portion of the missile capabilities available to the Khatam al-Anbiya Base, warning that stronger responses are possible if necessary.
