A new report by the human rights organization Rawadari says that 1,187 people, including women and children, were martyred or injured in air and missile strikes carried out by the Pakistani military regime across the Afghan provinces of Khost, Paktia, Paktika, Nangarhar, Kunar, Kabul, Nuristan, Kandahar, and Helmand between December 2024 and June 2026.
Kabul 24: The report, based on interviews with victims, eyewitnesses, and local sources, says that more than 29,000 families were displaced during this period due to the attacks.
It adds that hundreds of homes, schools, health centers, mosques, and other public facilities were completely or partially destroyed.
Rawadari also says that at least 300 patients and staff were martyred in a Pakistani strike on a drug treatment center in Kabul, describing the attack as a “war crime.”
According to the report, the attacks caused not only casualties and property damage but also long-term psychological, social, and economic hardships. Fear, displacement, disruption of children’s education, and growing poverty are among the major consequences highlighted.
The organization says most of the attacks were carried out at night and failed to distinguish between military and civilian targets, resulting in heavy civilian casualties and widespread destruction.
Rawadari has called on the international community to take serious action to end the suffering of civilians, hold those responsible accountable, and support victims and their families.
