Manzoor Pashteen, leader of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement, strongly condemned Pakistan’s recent airstrikes in Afghanistan, labeling them as war crimes.
Kabul 24: He stated that Pakistan’s military, by targeting civilians, has blatantly violated human rights and international laws. Pashteen emphasized that Pakistan often seeks to cover up its battlefield failures by killing civilians.
Previously, he had expressed concern over the deaths of seven Afghan workers near the Durand Line, noting they had no connection to the conflict.
Sources confirmed to Ariana News that an airstrike took place in Kabul’s Taimani area before a ceasefire was established between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The attack led to an explosion, with Emergency Hospital reporting that 40 people, including women and children, were admitted, and five died en route.
The clashes began after Pakistan’s airstrikes in Kabul and eastern Afghanistan, which Pakistan claimed targeted Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan leaders. In response, Islamic Emirate forces in Kandahar’s Spin Boldak district retaliated, inflicting heavy casualties on Pakistani forces, according to sources.
Some Pakistani soldiers were killed, their bodies left on the battlefield, while others were captured.Following the clashes, Pakistan repeatedly requested a ceasefire through various channels.
Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, announced that, at Pakistan’s insistence, a ceasefire was established from 5:30 PM Wednesday.
Emirate forces were instructed to observe the ceasefire unless provoked. Sources told Ariana News that the ceasefire came after the Islamic Emirate’s counterattacks caused significant losses for Pakistan.
These developments have once again highlighted border tensions between the two nations and raised concerns over human rights violations.
