Kabul 24: Speaking during a press conference, Pezeshkian asserted that the United States, Israel, and foreign analysts recognize that a nation cannot be forced into submission through missiles or war alone. Instead, he noted, foreign adversaries rely on fostering domestic discord, internal fragmentation, and political polarization to achieve their objectives.
The President expressed that his paramount concern in the current state of “neither war nor peace” remains the livelihood of the people and the nation’s economic stability.
Describing the present surge in inflation and currency volatility as entirely unacceptable, Pezeshkian acknowledged that escalating economic pressures continuously complicate governance rather than resolving core issues.
He emphasized that economic distress directly feeds public dissatisfaction, creating the very vulnerabilities that external powers seek to exploit.
Addressing digital infrastructure and internet restrictions, Pezeshkian reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fulfilling its promise of restoring internet access to pre-restriction levels.
While acknowledging that security agencies have raised valid concerns regarding cyber threats and potential attacks on critical infrastructure, he maintained that the executive decision to unblock the internet remains firm.
He stated that consultations with the heads of the three branches of government and the Supreme National Security Council are actively underway to resolve these security and technical bottlenecks.
