Hasibullah Malikzada, the talented Afghan wrestler, emerged victorious in the Sultan Ring wrestling competition by defeating his Scottish opponent in the final match held on Sunday night, November 5th, in Sweden, in the 60-kilogram category.
Kabul 24: Before reaching the final match, Malikzada showcased his prowess by defeating competitors from England and Sweden, securing his spot in the ultimate showdown.
Not only did he clinch the gold medal, but he also claimed the prestigious championship belt of the competition. Furthermore, Malikzada was honored as the best wrestler in this round of the Sultan Ring wrestling competition in Sweden.
In addition to Malikzada’s remarkable achievement, Sulaiman Saighani earned the gold medal in the 75-kilogram category, while Zaki Laghmani secured the silver medal in the 63.5-kilogram category.
The Sultan Ring wrestling competition, hosted by Sweden and featuring the participation of 24 countries with 300 athletes, concluded successfully, showcasing outstanding talent and sportsmanship from around the world
