The flood in Baghlan killed at least 80 people

Local sources in Baghlan say that more than 80 people have died due to floods in the center and several districts of this province.

According to Kabul 24; The officials of fighting natural disasters in Baghlan said on Friday, 21 Thor, that 50 bodies were transferred to the provincial hospital from central Baghlan alone.

In addition, the sources say that more than 30 other bodies have been transferred to the provincial hospital from Barkah, Nahrin and Pol-Khumri districts.

After dawn on Friday until evening, the city of Pul Khomri and the districts of Baghlan Central, Barkeh and Nahrin witnessed an unprecedented flood.

Residents of central Baghlan say that around 500 houses were destroyed in Sheikh Jalal and Laghi areas of this district and the residents of another village were all stuck in a mosque.

Hedayatullah Hamdard, head of fighting natural disasters in Baghlan, says that the casualties are increasing because it is not possible to find the bodies due to the darkness of the night.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Sir Sajid, head of natural disasters in Takhar province, also said that 8 people died in the floods on Friday in Ishkemesh, Chal and Namak Ab districts of this province.

According to him, in addition to human casualties, these floods have also caused huge financial losses to the people.

At the same time, sources in Ghor and Herat also say that at least seven villages are under water and their residents have been displaced due to the floods in these two provinces
