Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with a joint delegation of Islamic scholars, business leaders, and industrialists from Bangladesh to discuss deepening bilateral relations, expanding commercial exchanges, and strengthening overall cooperation between the two nations.
Kabul 24: According to an official press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Muttaqi highlighted the current economic conditions and nationwide security in Afghanistan, emphasizing the vast investment opportunities available across various infrastructure, industrial, and commercial sectors.
The Foreign Minister stressed that facilitating political, economic, and cultural engagements between Kabul and Dhaka is essential for capitalizing on these shared opportunities, assuring the Bangladeshi delegation of the Islamic Emirate’s readiness to provide necessary facilities for foreign investors.
In turn, members of the Bangladeshi delegation expressed their satisfaction with their visit to Kabul and the prevailing stability in the country, viewing the prospects for economic and trade collaboration as highly encouraging.
Representatives from Bangladesh’s religious, business, and industrial sectors noted that significant untapped potential exists for mutual cooperation, which could yield tangible benefits for both nations.
The delegates further remarked that constructive and continuous interaction between government institutions and the commercial sectors of both countries remains the key to reinforcing diplomatic and economic bonds in the future.
This meeting comes as part of broader diplomatic efforts by the Islamic Emirate to attract regional investments and expand trade partnerships across Asia.
