A delegation from the Afghan Islamic Emirate, led by Ataullah Omari, Acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, has departed for Russia to participate in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, one of the world’s most prominent economic events.
Kabul 24: The forum, scheduled from June 18 to 21, 2025, in St. Petersburg, is expected to host representatives from over 140 countries, providing a platform for discussions on critical topics such as economy, trade, industry, agriculture, environment, investment, and knowledge exchange.
The Afghan delegation includes notable figures such as Ahmadullah Zahid, Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, Abdul Latif Nazari, Technical Deputy Minister of Economy, and Mohammad Younus Momand, Vice President of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment. Additionally, a group of prominent Afghan traders and investors accompanies the delegation to leverage opportunities for expanding trade relations and attracting investment.
The participation of this delegation underscores the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to strengthening Afghanistan’s position in the global economy and fostering international cooperation.
