The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) announced the signing of trade memorandums of understanding (MoUs) worth 446 million Afghanis with business delegations from Russia and Kazakhstan.
Kabul 24: The agreements were reached at the end of a B2B meeting in Kabul involving Afghan traders and representatives from the Republic of Dagestan, Russia’s Tyumen Region, and Kazakhstan.
The MoUs cover key sectors such as construction materials, spices, food products and essentials (including edible oil, tea, and grains), as well as agricultural services.
During the meetings, traders and investors from all sides held direct discussions on market opportunities, needs, and potential areas for collaboration.
The sessions focused on building practical partnerships and reducing trade barriers.Aliskovich, Deputy Chairman of the Tyumen Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry, thanked the ACCI for its warm hospitality and described the visit as “highly successful.” He invited Afghan traders to visit Russia and promised to arrange meetings with Russian businesses.
He noted that the agreements would facilitate Russian exports to Afghanistan while opening new doors for Afghan products in the Russian market.
Aliskovich called the meetings the start of a broad and historic commercial partnership.The joint delegation from Dagestan, Tyumen Region, and Kazakhstan arrived in Kabul on Saturday for economic and trade talks.
This development marks an important step in Afghanistan’s efforts to diversify its trade partners and strengthen ties with Eurasian countries.
The deals are expected to boost bilateral trade by matching Afghanistan’s export potential in agriculture and spices with regional demand for construction materials and food items.
The ACCI expressed confidence in the swift implementation of the MoUs and reiterated its support for expanding economic cooperation.
Both sides believe these agreements will lead to increased investment, better supply chains, and long-term collaboration.
