Horrific Crime in Herat: House Cleaner Arrested for the Murder of a 1.5-Year-Old Child

Security officials in Herat Province have reported a tragic and shocking incident within the city, confirming the arrest of a female house cleaner accused of murdering a one-and-a-half-year-old child.

Kabul 24: The crime, which took place inside a residential home, has sent shockwaves of grief and anxiety through the local community.

Syed Masoom Hosseini, spokesperson for the Herat Police Command, confirmed the incident, stating that security forces responded swiftly upon receiving the report and apprehended the suspect at the scene.

According to details provided by law enforcement, the arrested woman was employed as a cleaner in the household, working alongside two other female domestic workers.

Initial police investigations have uncovered harrowing details surrounding the tragedy. The police spokesperson noted that preliminary inquiries point to internal disputes, animosity, and personal grudges between the suspect and the two other cleaners as the primary motive.

Driven by this conflict and lingering hostility, the suspect allegedly threw the innocent toddler from the fifth floor of the residential building. The severe impact from the fall caused the young child to die instantly at the scene.

The Herat Police Command spokesperson further stated that specialized interrogation of the suspect commenced immediately, during which she confessed to committing the act and throwing the child during the initial questioning.

According to security authorities, following the completion of preliminary investigations and formal documentation, the case file has been referred to the relevant judicial and legal authorities for further investigation, prosecution, and the administration of justice.
