Molavi Abdul Hamid Ismaeelzehi, the prominent Sunni Friday Prayer Leader of Zahedan, has welcomed the signing of an understanding between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States, describing it as “beneficial for the Iranian nation.”
Kabul24 : In his remarks, Molavi Abdul Hamid expressed hope that the agreement, aimed at reducing tensions and preventing further conflict, would open the way for economic and political improvements in Iran.
He stressed that the successful implementation of the deal requires a serious and determined fight against corruption.The Sunni leader called for the replacement of corrupt and extremist individuals with competent, moderate, and capable figures in order to safeguard the national interests of the agreement and restore public trust.
He argued that only through rational, transparent, and non-extremist policies can Iran make the most of this opportunity to improve the country’s situation.
Molavi Abdul Hamid also placed strong emphasis on the necessity of stopping executions in Iran. He described halting executions as an essential step toward creating an atmosphere of calm, national unity, and social cohesion.
According to him, reducing internal tensions and moving away from extreme security-oriented approaches would allow the country to focus more effectively on economic challenges and the livelihood of the people.
The recent Iran-US understanding reportedly includes issues such as de-escalation of conflicts, reopening of the Strait of Hormuz for safe passage, facilitation of oil sales, release of some frozen assets, and laying the groundwork for further negotiations.
Many observers view the agreement as an initial step toward easing economic pressures and avoiding the risk of war.Molavi Abdul Hamid, who has consistently advocated for dialogue and peaceful resolution of disputes, has called the understanding a valuable “opportunity to save the country” and improve the lives of ordinary citizens.
