Pakistan has launched an unprecedented cross-border motorcycle rally designed to bolster tourism, foster cultural exchange, and strengthen bonds among the nations of South and Central Asia.
Kabul 24: This thrilling 23-day expedition, which commenced on July 31 from the historic city of Lahore, embarks on an adventurous route through neighboring countries, notably Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, symbolizing regional friendship and solidarity.
The journey begins in Lahore, guiding a group of intrepid motorcyclists to Islamabad and onward to the Torkham border crossing. Upon entering Afghanistan, the convoy travels through the vibrant cities of Kabul and Kunduz, immersing participants in the country’s breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage.
The rally then proceeds to Tajikistan, where riders navigate rugged mountain roads and explore the region’s historical treasures. The next destination is Uzbekistan, home to ancient cities like Samarkand and Bukhara, renowned for their stunning Islamic architecture and cultural landmarks.
On the return leg, the motorcyclists traverse Afghanistan once more, concluding their epic journey back in Lahore on August 22.Held under the theme “Exploring Islamic Heritage and Culture – Promoting Tourism and Friendship,” the rally underscores Afghanistan’s critical role as a cultural and transit hub in the region.
