Putin signed an order to expand the use of nuclear weapons

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree allowing the country to use nuclear weapons more widely.

Kabul 24: Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on Tuesday, November 19 (29 Aqrab 1403), according to which Moscow will henceforth be allowed to attack “a non-nuclear country” provided that country has the support of nuclear powers. to use its nuclear weapons.

The decision coincides with the 1,000th day of Russian military operations in Ukraine, and comes a day after Washington agreed to use US long-range missiles against Russian military installations on Russian soil.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Kremlin announced that changes to Russia’s nuclear doctrine had been drawn up and would be formalized if necessary. This shows Moscow’s concern about the recent US decision on missile attacks from Ukraine.

“[Reforms to Russia’s nuclear doctrine] are basically ready and will be formalized if necessary,” Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov told the state-run Tass news agency in a statement published on Tuesday.

The Kremlin on Monday called unofficial reports of a decision by US President Joe Biden’s administration to allow Ukraine to fire US missiles deep into Russia “reckless” and warned that Moscow would retaliate.

Russia, which launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine 1,000 days ago, has repeatedly warned that the West is playing with fire by playing with the limits of what a nuclear power may or may not tolerate.

Vladimir Putin said in September that the West’s authorization of Kiev’s use of long-range missiles meant “direct participation of NATO countries, the United States, and European countries in the war in Ukraine,” as NATO’s military infrastructure and personnel were effectively used to target and fire the missiles. It has been mentioned that they will be involved
