Afghan-Kazakh Joint Chamber of Commerce to Open in Kabul

Sirik Zhumangarin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Kazakhstan, arrived in Kabul at the head of a high-level delegation and announced the opening of the Afghan-Kazakh Joint Chamber of Commerce in the Afghan capital.

Kabul 24: During a meeting with Mullah Muhammad Hassan Akhund, Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, on Saturday, Zhumangarin stated that Kazakhstan is determined to significantly increase Afghan exports to its market.

To achieve this goal, the joint chamber of commerce between the two countries was officially inaugurated in Kabul on Saturday.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the main objective of the visit is to develop and strengthen economic and political ties between Kazakhstan and Afghanistan.

The meeting was also attended by Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, Minister of Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi, and Mullah Abdul Wase, Chief of Staff at the Prime Minister’s Office.

The Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the President of Kazakhstan pays special attention to Afghanistan and closely monitors the development of bilateral relations.

Highlighting Afghanistan’s progress in various sectors under its current leadership, he said: “Kazakhstan stands ready to cooperate with Afghanistan in all fields.”On behalf of the President of Kazakhstan, Zhumangarin extended an official invitation to Mullah Muhammad Hassan Akhund to visit Kazakhstan.He also highlighted Kazakhstan’s commitment to humanitarian cooperation, particularly support for returning refugees and Afghan citizens affected by natural disasters.

In this regard, eight wagons of humanitarian aid—including tents, spices, and other essential items—were delivered to Afghanistan on the same day.In response, Prime Minister Mullah Muhammad Hassan Akhund described the relations between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan as important and strategic.

He noted that visible progress in various sectors today is the result of cooperation with friendly countries. The Prime Minister stated that he would instruct all relevant departments to take practical steps toward expanding cooperation and strengthening bilateral ties.

Referring to the numerous commonalities between the two Muslim nations in political, economic, religious, and cultural spheres, Akhund stressed that these shared values provide a strong foundation for deeper relations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Mullah Muhammad Hassan Akhund extended an invitation to the President of Kazakhstan for an official visit to Afghanistan.

The inauguration of the Afghan-Kazakh Joint Chamber of Commerce is expected to serve as a milestone in bilateral economic relations, paving the way for increased trade, investment, and commercial exchanges.

Both sides have expressed strong commitment to comprehensive cooperation and mutual support.
