Residents of Ghazni Contribute 148 Million Afghanis to Education in One Year

Officials from the Ghazni Department of Education have announced that this year, local residents of the province contributed 148 million Afghanis to the education sector.

Kabul 24: According to them, this amount was provided by the people for the construction and renovation of school buildings, as well as for purchasing educational and administrative supplies.

Mir Nasir Ahmad Hosseini, Head of Education in Ghazni, said: “This year, ordinary people across the center of Ghazni and its 18 districts have contributed 148 million Afghanis to the education sector.”Based on official statistics, nearly 200 schools in Ghazni currently lack proper buildings, forcing students to study outdoors or in tents.

However, local authorities emphasize joint efforts to urgently address these issues. The Head of Education in Ghazni added: “If the needs of education are left solely to the people or entirely to the government, the problems may not be resolved quickly.

It is essential that both the system and the people cooperate in the education sector.”Meanwhile, some residents of Ghazni state that these community contributions have played a significant role in meeting the basic needs of schools and providing hundreds of students with better educational facilities.

Emphasizing the importance of education, they call on relevant officials, aid organizations, and the public to provide improved educational opportunities for students.

Rahimullah, a resident of Ghazni, said: “As stated in the noble hadith that seeking knowledge is obligatory for every Muslim man and woman, it is our duty to create suitable conditions for the education of our children.”Mohammad Azim, another resident, said: “Education is like the backbone of a country.

Wherever there is no education, that region and country will be led to destruction. Therefore, our request to the people and the system is to work together to provide educational opportunities and meet the needs of students.”In addition to supporting education, residents of Ghazni have also personally funded the construction of bridges in some deprived areas of the province, with costs reaching hundreds of thousands of Afghanis.
